Beauty and the Beast, after the ending of their traditional tale, had a son named Prince Fletcher. A useless fool with no abilities, Fletcher is determined to star in his own fairy tale, so he hires a writer to craft a fairy tale for him. At the writer's suggestion, Fletcher finds a witch to turn him into a horrible beast (who is in fact quite endearing, and resembles a cuddly toy more than anything else), so that he is ostracized by the guards at his own castle. However, the writer soon abandons Fletcher, who, still in beast form, becomes a mascot for a candy maker.

There are some aspects of this which are reminiscent of Phantom of the Opera, like the scene where Beauty sees the Beast playing the organ. Disney clearly took the scene where the egals attacks Beauty and Beast saves her, and Beauty bandages his arm up. They may have also stolen the purple cloak too as well as some other angles and scenes.

Klaus Kinski , who famously starred in the German film Nosferatu the Vampyre directed by Werner Herzog, was sadly horribly miscast in the tragedy of a remake of Jean Cocteau's La Belle et la Bête. Klaus Kinski is a fantastic actor but having to try to walk in Jean Marais shoes as Beast is no easy feat, and one he paled in comparison to. Sadly, Susan Sarandon as well was miscast in this remake. The way it was shot, like a daytime soap opera, was also a very bad choice. Held against the Cannom movie Tale's Version is just is a sad remake. It's a shame Klaus Kinski wasn't allowed to shine in his own version that should have been catored ot his acting talent instead of trying to fill the shoes of Jean Marais. The Makeup is probably the best thing about this version, and Klaus Kinski is without a doubt very beastly.

The Beast comes to Maria (the Beauty character's) house to collect her, the father doesn't bring her to his castle. The Beast hides under a cloak. Emotions affect the magic here. Maria becomes so sad when she first gets to the Beast's castle that her emotions turn things to dust, like their dinner. Disney stole the scene where the Beast is feeding the birds from this version. The father dies.
(Summary)
A merchant wanted to go to the city of the year, and asked the three daughters what the gift was good. The third daughter said she wanted a rose. However, when he was thinking that he could not get a rose and his beloved daughter could not bring any souvenirs, he came to the front of a castle. The castle had a garden, half the garden was summer and half winter. When he saw that the walls on the summer side were full of roses everywhere, he approached them with joy, and when he broke one, he rode a horse and went ahead. When I went on the horse for a while, I heard something chasing behind me with my nose exhalation, so when I looked back, there was a big black beast. The beast told him to give her a beautiful daughter as a wife instead of giving her a rose. The man accepted the offer, thinking that he would not come to get his daughter anyway. After a week, when the girls were at the table, a black beast came to take her away, and she began to weep, but she could not go with her. The inside of the castle was beautiful, and as she lived with the beast, she became attracted to the beast, and she really liked it. One day, the daughter, who was worried about her family, promised to come home in a week and went home. When I got home, my father was sick and collapsed. The father was glad to see his daughter again, but the father died without taking it back. After the funeral, the sisters comforted each other, and a week had passed since the daughter remembered the beast. When he returned to the castle, the castle was covered with black sashes. The beast was nowhere to be seen, and the girl was sad many times. Once I noticed a pile of cabbages in the garden, and when I turned the mountain over, a black beast was lying under the cabbage and dying. She quickly brought water to the beast and continued to pour it on the beast without rest. Then the beast stood up and quickly turned into a beautiful prince. The black sage of the castle was peeled off, and the two of them lived happily together forever.
